Introduction
Kriyasharir is a fundamental branch of Ayurveda that focuses on the study of normal physiological functions of the human body. It seamlessly integrates classical Ayurvedic principles with modern concepts of physiology and biochemistry.
The subject emphasizes a comprehensive understanding of bodily functions through core Ayurvedic concepts such as Dosha, Dhatu, Mala, Agni, Prakruti, Atma, and Mana. These principles form the foundation for diagnosis, prevention, and treatment in Ayurveda.
The Department of Kriyasharir plays a pivotal role in shaping first-year BAMS students by fostering strong conceptual clarity and a scientific approach to Ayurvedic physiology.
